Work
Nu Echo
Software Developer at Nu Echo. During my time there I had the opportunity to make use of Google-STT and Silero VAD to make benchmarks on comparing both voice activity detection models.
- Developed voice activity detection (VAD) benchmarking tools for Google-STT and Silero-VAD using mostly Typescript and Python.
- Set up a gRPC server to process audio calls and stream chunks of calls to VAD tools.
- Worked with RxJS library accelerating NodeJS asynchronous and event-based programming.
- Bazel, Git, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Docker for the build and development.
- Wrote code in TypeScript using the RxJS library and made the use of Jest and Jasmine Marbles for the testing of both, which made it easier for streaming purposes.
- Tested the Python code that I implemented using regular unittest.
- Wrote a report comparing both technologies using different metrics with the help of Label Studio labeling and matplotlib.
- Finished given mandate project in 2 and a half months instead of 4, then joined their DevOps team in Agile/Scrum work.
